A semi-popular regional DJ with a reputation for throwing massive house parties moves to Los Angeles. In a tale as old as time — within a year he is unemployed and living out of his car in Hollywood. With no shows and no work, this would be the time most chose to throw in the towel and return home.

Instead, he steps away from electronic music to focus on self-development, business, and hip-hop production for a few years — grinding out long hours waiting tables, keeping his living situation to himself, and investing every spare dollar into a newly rented production lockout. But after building his studio brick by brick, attracting a roster of paying clients, and graduating from the service industry — something was missing. The decks beckoned once more.

Old enough to have lived some life, and young enough to throw it the fuck down. Huxley XIII returns to the decks with a renewed hunger, a lighter spirit, and a sharpened vision.

Huxley XIII has shared stages with GRiZ, Big Gigantic, Baauer, Rusko, Waka Flocka, and many others, bringing tasteful sets that balance the delicate art of playing to the crowd while setting the headliner up to crush it.

That said — given the room to open things all the way up, he goes toe to toe with the best of ’em. Formative years of spinning late-night afterparties taught him a thing or two about pushing the energy past 11.

His sets weave a multi-tempo tapestry of growling, grimy, and sexy bass music paired with heavy 808s and intricate, layered percussion — a dirty south undercurrent of trap meeting fluid, wubby freeform bass design — rounded out by a sprinkling of well-placed wild card selections to surprise, challenge, and inspire.
